Synchronised swimming consists of swimming to music. Swimmers work on figures, solos, duets and team work. The club work towards competitions. Competitions are made up of figures, solos, duets and team routines.
Synchronised swimming is a sport that can be enjoyed by both girls and boys of all ages. Adults are welcome, and there are competitions for Masters swimmers. It is an exciting way to keep fit.
Clubs sessions are held on Wednesday Evenings at Bruanstone Leisure Centre, Hamlin Road, Leicester, LE3 1RN, and swimmers must be able to swim in deep water (2.5m) and are proficient in Backstroke, Breaststroke and Front Crawl are most welcome.
The club meets at 7.45pm (in the foyer) and commences with a warmup session at 8.00pm. All swimmers work in small groups depending on their ability etc.
We are an ASA Affiliated Club and all members are covered by insurance. There is a small cost of £2.50 per session and once a swimmer has joined the club fees are paid monthly - but is free for the first attendance.
So why don't you come and HAVE A GO! The coaches follow the ASA Synchronised Swimming programme of figures, routines and works towards entering competitions.
