There are 6 spaces available on the Sport System and Automated Officiating Equipment (AOE) course being held at Braunstone LC Sat 3rd June 2023 for the Mini Meet competition.
The course will be run by David Fortescue and Ron Brewin covering Sport Systems and the Quantum AOE timing system.
Applications for this course are on a first come, first served basis. If it is oversubscribed then numbers from a club may be pruned to offer as broader knowledge base as possible.
Pre-Requisite
Please bring your own laptop for hands on practice.
Prior to the presentation the candidate will need to download the software.

Follow the instructions to install the software.
You will also need to be a member of Swim England to obtain your Personal Key.
The candidates will be expected to assist at County Age Group Championships
during January and February.

Provisional Schedule
9.45 Arrive at the training room (to be advised) and tea/coffee to be provided.
10.00 – 13.00 Sport Systems presentation part of which will be to set up for the mini
meet gala later in the day. This will show the candidates how it all fits together and the files that will be needed to feed into the AOE system.
2 events will be set up as HDW (heat declared winners) and 1 event to have finals to show how the finalists are automatically input to the final events once the qualifying heats have completed. We will not be running the finals during the actual swimming session.
13.00 – 13.30 Lunch. Candidates to bring their own food or purchase from the café.
13.30 – 15.00 AOE presentation in room.
15.00 – 16.30 Set up AOE system poolside and go through all the screens involved
in the set up. Go through the test procedure to check that start box, time pads, backup buttons and all components are talking to each other.
Download the files and perform a dummy race. Explain what can go wrong –
No AOE, no backup, insert manual times, apply disqualifications etc.
16.30 – 17.15 Scoreboard training.
17.15 Ready to go. Candidates will be allowed to practice using both the
Sportsys result systems and timing equipment.
