LASA Development Camps
LASA supports the wider Swim England National Development Strategy by running 2 Swim Camps each year for swimmers aged 11/12 years.
Selection for these camps is based on swimmer rankings at the end of each swimming season (just after the National Championships which are usually held in July/August each year).

2023 Camps
9th July & 3rd September
Market Harborough Leisure Centre
Information has been circulated to all clubs with invitation letters to swimmers aged 12 years at 31.12.23 to attend these camps. There will be 36 swimmers attending.
LASA are looking to recruit coaches to deliver these camps and require:

1 Head Coach - qualified to Level 3 or working towards

6 Skills Coaches
-
1 Land Training Coach (ideally)
Remuneration is offered to all Coaches who participate.
All Coaches from all Clubs, regardless of whether their swimmers have been selected, are invited to consider applying to help. This is an excellent opportunity for Club Coaches/Teachers to be involved with coaches and swimmers from other clubs and to help with the development of swimmers within our county.
Coaches/Teachers who also hold a Land Training Qualification, or Land Training Coaches with no Swim Coach/Teacher qualification are also welcome to apply for the Land Training element only.

Full support is given by LASA and a number of resources are available to support the Development Camps from Swim England.
